I just removed mine two days ago. First remove the return spring. Next there are two small bolts, one on each side of the stand. I think they are six mm, remove them. The one on the left side of the bike also holds the hose guide so keep it handy. There is a small cotter pin in the tube that acts as the pivot for the center stand, remove cotter pin. Finally slide out the tube and the stand is now free. Re-install the small bolt and secure the hose guide in the original position. Done, and you've just made your bike 5# lighter (I weighed mine) I installed sportbike spools to use a paddock stand that has become so popular in the last ten years or so. I can't justify carring around dead weight when I only use it at home in the garage. Now I jack up the bike with the paddock stand. Looks better too. and I have more room for my soon to be finished two into one exhaust system. which by the way will save another 27#
Cheers, 50gary
