Tonight we are in St. Stephens, NB, at the border. Tomorrow we cross back into the US! Ron, if you could give me a call on my cell, 615 293-4940 I would appreciate it. We are stretching the rear tire and think it will reach your place OK. We may purchase a tire from Logue's and need a place to install it. Also, we are down to half a headlight on low beam, no headlight on the sidecar and no brakelight on the sidecar. Since we still have other lights we are safe but hope to replace those when we reach your place.
Phil, we may reach the Amish early. As I recall you said that was OK as there is not a party there as last year. BTW I checked with Amy just to be on the safe side that her work had changed again. I know you will miss her. Depends on how hot it is, I may sleep in the camper since there are no sheets.
David W. the race is on, if you beat us to Amish please don't lock the door at night. Phil does that when he is there by himself so the spooks won't get him.
We are now over 13,000 miles for the trip. Don is a little under the weather with flue like symptons but tonight we are in a motel so he should bounce back quickly!

Gene called me this morning and they are here: http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hotel/nmfpa?_requestid=243943
They are in need of a back tire and are going to try to limp in to Williamsport to have it changed at Bob Logue Honda. Sounds like the cords are close to showing so keep your fingers crossed. If all goes well, they will be staying in Williamsport overnight.

A new tire should arrive overnight if all goes as planned. If not, there are two tires that will fit it at the next dealer up the road, about 25 miles away. Either way, by the end of the day, they will have new skin. They feasted on a great steak dinner at the Hoss's Steak and Seafood House in Williamsport tonight. My wife and I picked them up in the car and gave them a short tour of the town on the way down to the restaurant. Don got to speak to the Myron Schroeder, the specialist at Bob Logue's who fixes all the bikes up for the museum. He stressed that the bikes are not restorations, they are all originals that he meticulously took apart, cleaned and polished to a high degree. All of them are functional and could be ridden. Myron is a WWII Vet who had something to do with B-24 Liberator Bombers. He sitll rides a Pacific Coast.

I must admit. Your GPS coordinator is quite accurate.
The "A" in the following map is the exact point at which Don/Gene have set up camp and tent.
How did you know their coordinates? Did they have a GPS locator?

They ought to send one of those SPOT devices to bin Laden. Put a sign on it> "Push here for a direct line to Allah."

I am not sure Bin L. would know how to operate Spot, you do have to press the correct button!
Night before last we stayed at the Green Acres (remember the old TV series?) rv campground, just off I76 in Ohio.
We spent last night with my son and his family in Columbus and will leave tomorrow for the last leg of the trip.
We will stop for a visit with one of Don's old mates (now I am talking like an Aussie!) in Bellwood, Ohio, near Dayton. Don't know if we will stay the night with him or not.
At this point on the trip we have rolled up almost 15,000 miles, 14,920 to be exact. Since the Boro is still over 400 miles away we will definitely top 15,000.
It has been a wonderful trip, not only because of the country we have seen but also because of the support of our friends!
I will make a final post to this thread when we reach home. Don's trip will not be over until he reaches Melbourne on the 30th of August. He leaves Nashville on the afternoon of the 28th. The 29th of August is a day that will never exist for him! I am sure he will make a final, final post to this thread when he gets home.

The trip is now officially over! I just received an email from Don. He had a good trip home. We traveled a total of 15,356 miles and were on the road for 76 days. We camped around 54 days and stayed with friends or in motels the rest of the time. Between the 2 of us we have around 3,000 pictures and hours of audio notes to transcribe! We will both try to publish something for our friends and to post on boards, just don't expect it soon.

Glad you're home safe and sound! It was a pleasure seeing you again at the Amish Rally and meeting Don. What a great adventure. Looking forward to all the info when you get it all together. Take care. Lynn
