Not running on both lungs?? 1980 cx500c

All right guys How do I find out what is wrong?

Best place to get parts? Ebay?dealer?

plugs a re good everything else is prob from 1980.

it used to run on one cyl for just a few sec when I would first start it up after sitting for over a week now just runs on 1 cyl

the ignition box is bad. get one on ebay

Not so fast.  There are a lot of  things that can cause the failure of one cylinder, usually dirt in the carbs.  Start with the inexpensive options first.

BTW, you'd do better to post this in the Technical Help forum.  The Turbo guys probably won't take much interest in your '80 Custom.

Checking for corrosion inside the plug caps is an even easier way to start looking for the cause of "one cylinder" operation - just exchanging caps can sort out a "possible".
