I think Simple Green may have been one. These wheels are a pita to clean, especially around the circles. I use one of those small steam cleaners and it melts the brake dust, tar specks and bugs right off. Just hit an area with steam and wipe it off with a towel. Few minutes per wheel and they look like new. I use a Scunci which can be bought at places like Target but there's many other brands out there. It has a million uses in the garage. 06-24-2008, 8:21 PM Anonymous Re: Cleaning up the gold rims Question about the wheels on the CX series of bikes. What diameter and widths are they? I perfer the look of the original comstars. But they are usually 18"x2.15" rear and 1.85"x19"front. I wonder if there is an 18" front standard (non-reversed) wheel available? I also see older and Larger Hondas with 2.50" width comstars. I tried finding this information on the internet no luck yet. Sorry to hi-jack a thread. Cheers, 50gary
