Do people still use the word "Peeps"?
I don't know if I fall into the Peeps catagory, but I am in Portland, and if the rest of the locals want to get together for a ride I'm in, just as soon as she gets out of the shop......
I just love these bikes!
If anyone in the area wants to talk or ride CX/GL machines, I'm in.

I've been meaning to mention that. Basically I have a hole in my heart. Poor Bob had to go. I recently moved out of my old house and am striking it out on my own at an apartment. Needless to say I lost my working space. It wouldn't have been so bad if I could've fixed that rough idle I've been struggling with. It got to the point where I was talking to the local mechanic and he was telling me that he himself would've checked and done every single thing I did. So the decision had to be made, throw money down the drain by hiring him, so he could double check everything or sell. Mind you, he clearly stated that there was no guarantee that he could even fix it. Hella bummed and with a heavy heart I listed Rusty Bob. Literally the next day I had three people interested, which I thought was crazy seeing as I listed it for $1200 with a rough idle! The guy that bought it had never ridden a bike before and didn't even test drive it. But I informed him on every detail that I had done and the problems left to be tackled. I haven't heard back from him, he must be busy busting his ass trying to whip Bob into shape. I really really miss my transverse twin! Such good looking bikes. There is an up side to this, or so I hope. I just bought, thursday, a 1999 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100. It is black with 25,000 on it. I got it for $400 under KBB. Seems to be a great bike though there are some vibrations at highway speeds (70mph and up) when you open the throttle up. So great another problem! Though this bike is in FAR FAR better condition than poor Bob was when I got him. Tomorrow morning I'm heading down to the Honda store to have them diagnose this bike, hopefully all is well or needs just a bit of sprucing up, because my pocket book can't take much more.
Just for fun here is a bit of a list of things that I had done when I owned rusty bob (all done in 3 months):
