From most responses - show older than their bikes - n' where I fit right now - which should be the case in most respects - BUT, albeit I'm not afraid to say I'm 59 n'' been ridin' bikes for 44 years now - from which I'm presently older than my "78 CX500 by almost 30 years - but have owned older bikes over the years - ie" 69 Triumph 650 Bonni (only 21 years) ...... 68- 750 Norton (only 20 years) .....66 Yami 100 twin (19 years) ...... 65 1000 Hog Sportster (only 17 years) ..... 58- 1200 Hog (only 11 years) ..... n' here's the change ..... 1945 400- Vespa (4 years younger) ..... 1936 Indian Chief ( 13 years younger) ......... so kinda harf n' harf Eh !!!!

my '78 beat me by 4 months. '78 GL1000 that I owned previously had me by 2, as I recall. I've been older than the other bikes I've ridden, which might explain why I seemed to invest less care in them. That or I'm getting better as I go, which is positively saddening.

I am exactly one year younger than my bike. It was built in April of 1980, I was built in April of 1981.... I wish I was as easy to maintain....

Well, i was born in '76, and the oldest CX in the yard is '78, so i'm just barely ahead of them... the '65 Honda Benly, '63 Chrysler, and '62 Caddy all have me.

I just had an anniversary the other day. I started riding July 3rd, 1964 so I'm starting my 45th year in the saddle. Funny I ain't bow legged yet huh? How about the rest of you? What was the date of your first ride on a motorcycle as the operator, not just a passenger?

It'll be 1 year tomorrow (7/7/08) since I bought my CX and started riding it (I'm not going to count my Motorcyle Safety Course that I took in 2000).
