Seems like reading somewhere that you were into old mopeds. My neighbor GAVE me a 1965, 65 CC bike. I just restored a similar (1982 Honda 70cc bike). I am having trouble getting the coil to fire. Do you know of any resources like this board for the mopeds? I need a wiring schematic and some info. Thanks.

A 1965 what exactly?
There are alot of moped manuals on line at MRA.org
http://www.mopedriders.org/article_cat.php?fldAuto=2
and if you have no luck there check with the MOPED ARMY

If it has no pedals it's not a moped so beware the MA is militant and will shank you over that faux paux and than laugh over you bleeding body
They are a nice bunch of guys.
Oh and then some body will help you any way.
Check the usual things like connections, kill switch, oil fouled points caused by a bad crank seal (I am talking about a 2 stroke which I assume you have.
Lets see a picture.
I love small bikes especially 50cc.

This thing must be a freak of Honda. It is a 1965, S65 Honda. Four stroke, overhead cam,4 spd, manual clutch, no pedals(so what is it if not a moped?) It is not a step through frame. Kick start only, 6 volt system. I'll try to get photos tonight, this thing is too cool.

The blue one is a 1982 honda passport 70. I have already rebuilt the motor on it and it runs like a charm. It belongs to one of my buds. The black and white one below is the S65 Honda. I have all the parts that are missing. Just need a wiring diagram. What do you think of it and what would you call it? The thumbnails should be clickable.

78 cx500 (rodent)(my twisted twin)
82 cx500c (parts)
86 cmx450 (wifey's)
and in the future who knows

Nice score.
It's a motorcycle.
S65 = Sport 65cc made for 4 years 64-67 if I remember correctly.
Overhead cam in a time when most little hondas were still push rod engines.
It's considered a performance model.
I bet thise red tank badges are impossible to find.

Parts fiche.
I had the 1964 50cc version of this bike, my first MC I bought out of the weeds for $15.
That was just the beginning of my odesy.

The S65 (S=Sport=high pipe) was first sold in the USA in 1965. It was my first bike. I put over 20K on it before I gifted it to my younger brother. He rode it another 15K and sold it when he bought a Suzuki X-6 Histler that matched the one I had.
If you laid flat on the seat and overreved it you could hit 65 mph.
Thanks for the memories ...

haven't had time to work on it in a couple of days. There seems to be a little bit of interest in the little feller,so, if nobody minds I'll post any progress I have with it here on off topic. Just gonna take time.
