That would look even cooler if you had removed the tank and side cover badges and filled the holes before painting.

Looks like the bike's been sprayed with something akin to Rhino Liner, the stuff they use for permanent truck bed liners. I can see several advantages to it, and have toyed with the idea of doing the bottom of my bags with it to prevent gravel dings and chips. I too, would have removed the badges though.

Hi Folks,

I went to see the pics and McAfee said they stopped a virus. Then my 'puter froze up. My 'puter has been slow since. Not complaining, just a heads up.

That looks sweet.  Only thing left to do is powder coat the engine grayish black and maybe anodize the valve covers and water pipe black.  Some Rhino liner on the wheels too.  Rename it the B2.
I kind of like the way it looks with the badges painted over, makes it even more Stealth.
Nice Job.

I can still make out a GL500 when I study it at the right angle.
Hiding those emblems doesn't trick the skilled observer.

Paint the badges satin or hammered white.

While we are talking about badges, I am learning to carve stone casting moulds in soap stone for pewter casting and I have been thinking of carving a mould to make new name plates for the engine, something other than HONDA

RATFINK / RUSTY / CX500 / BOMBER

you get the idea.

I just removed the tank badge brackets off my tank and made some nice holes in it. Nothing that some expoxy can't fix however.
