Went out riding today pulling the trailer to get some more experience pulling. Last time I did this the weather was not as good as today and I noticed people's reactions more today, I had bike riders who passed me going the other way who twisted around to see if they really were seeing my rig! I took these pictures after my ride and I still had a guy driving by stop and back up to talk! No trouble with people not seeing me!
I didn't get this old by being timid, just not being stupid!

This will give you an idea of how wide my rig is. BTW I am adding little mirrors near the top corners of the windshield. By next weekend there will be a 7 gallon transfer tank mounted on the rear of the trailer, gives us a total of 14.5 gallons, a range of 420 miles at 30 mpg with a 1/2 gallon reserve.

Dave, sorry bout that! It handles great! The trailer pulls well, I have only been up to about 65 so far, don't plan on going much, if any faster!

Gene/Don, Wishing the two of you minimal rain and bugs, and maximum sunshine, 70 deg days, gorgeous sunsets, and smooth roads (relatively speaking).   Impressive rig there Gene!

Just wondering as im looking at the pics; can you push it backwards at all? Or have you fitted some type of reverse?

Dozer, no I do not have a reverse on the ST, would love to have one! When riding the hack I am always very careful where I park, if the slope is away from me I try to back in. Actually the hack is fairly easy to foot pedel back on level ground. With the camper attached it is completely different, I expect that we may have occasion to detach the trailer, roll it backwards and then get the hack out, we will try hard to avoid that! Gene

Gene, It looks like it is time to update those pictures to show off that shiny new tank.
The pictures do not do it justice folks. It really is a wild looking and impressive rig that must be seen in person.

Looks good Gene. I can't wait to see it. If I were you, I'd put some reflective tape on the back of the trailer like you have on your bags. Unless that would be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Jason, I hope to get some pictures tomorrow, the tent is still set up! Jerry Brown from SC is coming to visit Sat. and we are going down to the Oak Bucket (remains thereof) for some pictures. I am pissed that some nut burned the world's largest cedar bucket, I needed it to hold my "bucket list" I figured with a bucket that big I would live forever working out my "bucket list" dreams!

Ron, you apparently a mind reader. We are going to do something like that. Don is bringing the words "WIDE" and "LOAD" on 2 banners to mount on the rear of the trailer and the hack. I think he was going to try to have them made in reflective material! Pictures will follow when he gets here.

Gene, I think the term means a list of (must do) things before you "kick the bucket" Someone was doing you a favor. You can't kick that bucket now.

Glad to see your almost ready to begin your journey - and wish you both a great time !!! I haven't been on much lately as I'm still working on getting my bike going <argh> - but figure it will be ready by next week or the one after ? - otherwise, can I borrow your "WIDE LOAD" sign - as I know a woman who would love to ride - but was thinking the same sign would better suit her <grin> ......
Otherwise, I look forward to meeting you both in Halifax - speaking of which - do you have a rough timetable (within a week ?) .......
Drive careful, n' keep your eyes on the road (especially travelling the coastline beaches!) ....
