Help wanted with a US shipping address for eBay auction.

Hi, all
I have a slight problem with an eBay seller, not wanting to ship outside USA. I respect that, so would be grateful to find someone who could imagine to step in as an in-between for me.
All I want is a US address to have the item (book) shipped to. I´ll pay the auction via PayPal, so no money would be involved for the guy who could imagine to assist.
After the book has arrived to you, I would also need to have it sent to my address in Sweden. Before that, I´m prepared to PayPal or send the necessary funds in banknotes inside an ordinary letter (have done it many times before and it has always worked). When payment is with the receiver, I would want the book to be sent to me.
The item is a very rare (and probably rather expensive) book about fighter dogs. It´s for my son (strange interest, I admit) and the book is VERY hard to get. Now I´ve found one on eBay and intend to do some very serious bidding. The auction ends within 2 days.
Should be very glad for any help in this matter.

Oh, s--t!!
I thought I was signed in already, at least I did sign in once. Somehow it seems I was out again and hence not signed in when I posted. My fault!! Has probably to do with my habit of deleting temp files and history quite frequently (to free memory).
Anyway I was the one who started this thread.

Thanks both of you for your offers to help. I´ve sent an e-mail to dozer1, as he was first to answer.
The book is about "gladiator dogs" and written by Carl Semencic. I don´t know if it´s about fight between dogs or not, but suppose anything is possible. Since some time my son has "The World Of Fighting Dogs" by the same author.
I definitely don´t share my son´s fascination for books like this or these breeds of dogs, either, for that matter, I´ve only said I would help him lay his hands on one copy of that book, if possible.

Hi,
It seems the eBay seller was completely overwhelmed by the outcome of her auction.
Before the auction was ended I had no replies from the seller on my question about shipping outside US. Therefore I asked for help here.
After the auction the seller e-mailed me, declaring that she would be happy sending the book to a Swedish address - no charge for shipping costs. She would even insure it! I believe she was quite happy with my winning bid - $ 261. Crazy I admit, but that was just over half of what my son had told me to go to, if needed. What can be so interesting with books like this one??

I did a quick search on Amazon, and it looks like you got a decent deal as they sell anywhere from $194-462 USD depending on condition and availabilty...

I tried with Amazon first, but id didn´t work out very well. I tried to order all of these five items, but the first four gave the result "not available" or the like.The fifth one (in UK) I contacted directly via e-mail and ordered the book. Got the reply "another customer has paid a substantial deposit and only if he doesn´t complete his deal, the item will be available for you".
So all in all - not much luck via Amazon.
Then I discovered this eBay auction. I used BidNip sniper function and set my upper limit at $ 450.99 (my son told me to go to $ 500, but I thought 450.99 was high enough). It turned out that we won at 261, so it seems everybody is happy.
Again, to me a book like this is hardly worth the paper it´s printed on, but then you could ask my son how much he would value my CX/GL literature to!

Looks like and interesting read, at best. The guy's website seems questionable, tho.... http://www.semencic.com Must have some good info/tips, if the going price is that high.....
