1980 CX500 Custom for sale. 17k miles! pics are up!

im selling my cx500 custom. i cannot keep it because i need the money for a car to go to college. i live in Mendon (the worcester area of Massachusetts 15 minutes over the border of RI) if you want to come down and check it out. im looking $1000 FIRM for it. it has 17k miles, newly painted (i sanded all rust/oxidation off so no worries about it coming back). it does have some rusting parts suchas the water pump pipe, and the springs on the shocks in the back. it runs great!
new headlight, valve job, fixed broken kill switch, rebuilt master cylinder and caliper, recovered seat, carbs completely rebuilt with kits, new battery, spark plugs, new exhaust gaskets, new speedo and tach cables.
i recieved the motorcycle without a title, but i went to the registry a few weeks ago and they put the forms through so i WILL have a CLEAN title soon.

i do have it listed on craigslist, but no bites yet. probably because i said i didnt have a title yet. i tried to list it on rhode island craigslist too, but it said there was already one like it on another section and it brought up my listing. so apparently you cant list on 2 different states.

On the milwaukee craigslist bikes that haven't been sold tend to be relisted every few days. When looking at the lists I stick to today and yesterday and assume everything else in unavailable. Called back on to many items that have been sold already.
Might also try ebay and put a reserve of $900 to $1000 on it with a statement that say Item is also listed locally so seller can end auction at any time.

yeah, my brother was saying to put it on ebay, but if i do pick up only, that kills alot of bids. but i dont want to ship it because it would be a pain in the ass (my brother doesnt seem to think so...)

Lots of people will drive a few hundred miles to pick up a bike. Even with gas prices the way they are. My brother drove 300 miles for his. Shipping can be a pain but if people really want the bike they will be willing to make the drive for it.

At this rate it's starting to look like you might need to find a place to store the bike for the winter and ride it all next summer.

You think it would make a trip to San Antonio, TX? :P I figure the only way for me to buy it would be to fly out one way and ride it back. The overhead cost might be too much for me though :(
