When I started driving I could go twenty miles per dollar now I am down to 5 miles per dollar. Sure some of you guys use to go a lot more miles for cheap. My truck has a 14 gallon tank so knowing that it use to cost me $14 to fill it compared to now spending nearly $60. 1979 Honda Cx500 Custom    Report

06-26-2008, 8:25 PM Anonymous Re: Miles per Dollar calculator I'm not telling you how old I am, but I sold gas at my part-time job in a gas station when I was in high school for $0.179 per gallon and whe a gas war was on it was $0.149. Of course minimum wage was $0.75 per hour. I don't think I even want to put my name on this post!

Remember when the stations would offer premiums with a fill-up to get you to buy their products?
