Well.... the orig purpose of me posting a cx carb pic on test forum was just to make sure things were working and then post in the regular areas. For some reason I am having trouble doing that so I will leave this all here for now. The aftermath of hemorroid surgery and handfuls of Darvocet are not helping me concentrate.

The pic shows a way to change/replace the "O" rings for the main fuel supply and accel pump cross pipes without "splitting" the carbs. Cut/remove the pipes, replace the rings and then splice back together with rubber fuel line and clamps. I can't be the first to have done this so I will not claim fame for such. I'll bet the cxers from OZ have done it succesfully for years with 'roo intestines.

BTW the pipes are bored out aluminum rods.... not aluminum tubing. Grooves are turned at each end to hold the "O" rings.

I hope that I will not be tracked down and thrashed with a frayed clutch cable for such desecration of a few OEM parts.
