On the way to work..........the long way.

I took the long way to work one morning as I had to go to Lock Haven first. Halfway down the back side of Pine Mountain, a road we took on last summer's Amish Rally, I saw this dirt road at the switchback and had to get a photo of my bike here. I liked it so much, I made a Rider cover out of it.
The picture better show up here:

Click on the photo for a bigger size image. I took that file down to my local Sam's Club and for $10.00 had a 20X24 inch size print made. The software could not get the full image on that size paper so it cut off some at the top. You will have to remember that if you take a file there to print. Always leave an extra space at the top or bottom so you can slide the image when you edit it and get the most on the photo paper. One copy will hang in Bob Logue's new upstairs lounge room.

Not to bad but I bet if you work on the contrast of the top half of the photo it could make it look even better but then again I am use to editing photo's for 40,000 circulation and when it comes down to only needing two for a memory in most cases it doesn't matter how good or bad the photo is just that it retains the memory.

Nice job anyway. Just reminds me more of how I need to get off my ass and take a new photo of my bike.

Increasing the contrast brings back that yellow that was faded to semi white and helps the color.

I can't selectively change a part of the photo contrast. The original photo has the fog showing up as white. I changed the color hue to make the scene golden. I like the darkness to convey the feeling of a cool woodland. If anything, for an actual cover, the font color could be changed for better effect. That being said, when it is printed large, it looks perfect to me.

I used to go to OC, MD. In fact my longest daily ride was 352 miles from Williamsport to OC on a 305 Dream in 1965 when I was 17.
