My new MC lift

Picked it up yesterday at harbor freight in Winston-Salem for a discounted price of only $200.00.  It is after all manually operated hydraulic like a barber's chair.  The discount was because someone had purchased it and returned it because the hydraulic piston had a slow leakdown problem.  Who in their right mind would depend solely on the hydraulics?  Jack it up, put the pin in and let it down to the pin.  Works fine for me.  First up, exploratory surgery on Broncoman 2000's CX.

Mike, can I get the shop cleaned up & organized before I post pictures?  I really do care about the background.

It's not a real workshop if it's not cluttered with tools, parts, and other projects.

Phil,

I know those lifts are pretty heavy ... did you slide it into the garage on some bacon grease!

I am jealous ... my table for working on bikes isn't height adjustable and it would be nice if it was.

Do post some photos ... of the lift and those models Mike mentioned that you keep in your garage! Are they in the garage so your wife doesn't find them???

Looks like you have it hard at work already - holding up those Flourescent tubes!

Boy, am I jealous of your work shop.

1st, the adjustable height bike stand.... I have to select different height chairs/stools/chunks of wood/sitting on the floor etc.to get to the height I want.

2nd, I share my "work shop" with the better half's laundry room.  (scary thing, I've caught her folding laundry on my work bench!)

3rd, all my tools are in various bins/boxes.  It would be nice to just Look (at pegboard) and select, instead of rummaging for what you need.

Phil,

You are too neat and organized!!! My "man's garage may be bigger, but it isn't nearly as organized as yours!

Are you sure it didn't require bacon grease???? Maybe just on the wheels???
