sportster 2 piece seat

has anyone tryed to mount a two piece sportster seat on a 79 cx500c if so was it a reall pain in the rear or not open to suggestions thanks

well i did it i bought the two piece seat from a friend for $20 it looks brand new typical harley guys though i got the main seat mounted this weekend man its way better than the stock seat i did have to cut off the bracket that goes over the top of the fender but no big deal since im changing to a full steel fender anyway ill post some pics when i get a chance

I saw this post a while back and was going to suggest that it would look funny if you didn't replace the fender but it looks like your on the right track. Once you cut that cross bracket out of there it allows a lot more room to work and relocate the 3 wire boxes.
