i am working on a painting project right now for my '80 cx500 Custom and i need you to help me make up my mind. i need some pictures of COMPLETELY STOCK CX500 CUSTOMS that have been repainted completely.

i am looking primarily for pictures of bikes with the tank, side covers, radiator shroud, and front and rear fenders all repainted to match.
i am repainting mine metallic blue (debating on design or stripe).

color in picture does not matter, but all items listed above must all be painted.

Here is a friend of mines bike that lives in Farmingdale, NJ. I don't think he will mind because he is getting ready to put it up for sale. A lot of the polished parts on it, i did for him just recently. He's very meticulous with this bike. Anyone would do well to buy this one.

That`s quite the custom. Nice and clean, just the way I like them. I see he plated the rad shrouds and valve covers and a few other things. Cool
I plated some of the major components on my CX Deluxe and WOW!! what a difference. I highly reccomend plating. I`ts relatively inexpensive too. I wonder how much he`ll get for that bike? 3,000.00? What do ya figure it`s worth?

I know some of the parts are plated. The exhaust, oil filter cover, side plates and the license plate have been done. And I think the rear tail light too. I'm not sure about all the rest. I just polished the forks, clutch cover and water pipe elbows for him. He's trying to get time to send me the triple tree assembly and the exhaust clamp rings to do also. The problem is that he travels a lot for the company he works for and getting a hold of him takes a couple days sometimes. The bike only has 29250 miles on it, and I know he babies it like a kid. I'm trying to get him to join here so that when I post it for sale for him, he can field any questions anyone has. I think he was thinking about $3,500 for the price. But that was before all the extra work went into it. I'm not sure where he is with it now. I'm waiting for a call from him.

I just joined this site. I have done a lot of work on this CX500 and it is extremely nice and well-maintained. My polishing work was done by the infamous Larry C. He does the best polishing work I have seen , and I have had many bikes and cars and have seen many polished parts. Larry's work is the best. I also chromed a lot of the parts on this bike as well. I will be putting this up for sale maybe regretfully since it is a gem but none the less. I'll work my way around here and figure out how to post it.
