Looks like a good start. What's the molded seat made of? Can it support the weight of a person without flexing? Looks like you gained a little leg room with the height and can sit back a bit further.

It is made of fiberglass, I put supports from the back of the seat to the front to support the weight (it may have held up without them as I could stand on it on the floor without trouble) then I fiberglassed in some brackets similar to how the original seat mounted.

Most of the wiring is right under the seat portion (where I also hope to put a gel battery) and I tried to run the wires behind the frame as much as possible.

I just called advanced auto parts in town and they ordered it. (it was here the next day) I just asked what the smallest one i could get was. He looked through the catalogue and this is what he came up with.

I live in western KS half way between KC and Denver on I70.

It is 12V 8ah but it seemed to crank over the bike at least as well as my other (though it is almost 2 years old, and not tended it could be going bad).  I squared out a bracket and so it would sit down low and then I added another steal bar so that it would add some support I will try to get more pictures when I get a chance.

Here is a link for the same battery.

Hey CaTacL1sm, I'll take some pics of my beater without the front fender tomorrow (not sure if it stays or goes).
Where do you want 'em?

...  you can just throw them in my thread...  just like everyone else :P   unless you want to do some good ole thread-necromancy and find the one about dumping the front fender

Yeah the engine guards are coming off.  I'm not sure about exhaust.  I haven't been able to find a 2 into 1 in my price range.  And I would like to get a gauge that has the speedo and tach in one.  probably not going to ditch the front fender all together.  maybe trim it down and add a pedestrian slicer.

confused the bars are what they call Clubman's I picked them up on ebay for around $30 shipped.  but now I am thinking I may get some adjustable ones.

also in the works are rearsets and polishing the aluminum parts.  ditch the radiator shroud.
