I lost my internet about a week and a half ago. I'll tell you that I thought I could just let it go and no problem. Well I was wrong. It was as if I had dropped off the earth. Now that is not a bad thing if it is intentional but for some reason my internet worked Sunday night and the next day nothing. The first two days were trouble shooting with a tech in the Phillipeans, then they decided that my modem was bad. So ordered a new modem. The problem that I had with that was that my wireless did not work at the hotel any more. I could not even log on to my web mail at the company computers. Well this morning they fixed it, don't know what it was but this afternoon all the lights on the modem were green and the computer came up. and I was back.
What bothers me most though is how out of touch I was and how much I had come to depend on the internet to do all kinds of things that we used to do manually, such as printing postage for that CB360 stator that I sold on EBay. I couldn't even check his address. I always talk about getting off the grid, what a joke, I'm lost without the net.

You should hear my wife if the power goes off and she can't watch TV. Dittoes on the internet. I'd have severe withdrawal symptoms.

I've been without internet at home for about a month now, due to a move. They just ran 750' of cable this week, so I should be back online soon at home. I can't wait!!!
