Anybody think that this test harness is worth having and is there a wirelist or pin out / parts list available so that one could be made?

Not worth having all the connectors can be back probed if you are careful.

Well, I beg to differ.  I bought that harness from Honda Australia about 3 years ago, and have used it to aid servicing about 6 turbos - tabulating all the sensor readings at stop, idle, and on-the-run.  It is a very useful tool, and I doubt that you can back-probe both sides of the sensor connector, which you need to do sometimes.

Two of the turbos needed that test-harness, and the result was a swift diagnosis of the problem on BOTH.

Don,
Thanks for the info.  Do you think you cound post a pinout or wirelisting of this adapter?  They are hard to find...  If I find all the pieces I'd put a how to together on how to make one...

Turboaddict,,As you can see, my home is Melbourne, Australia, but at the moment, I'm riding in Hudson Bay, SK., so can't answer your query until I get home.  I'm an Electronics Engineer, and I've yet to find ANY of those connectors in any shop.

If you're making up this small adapter-loom, you'll probably need to find a damaged loom off a turbo bike and a damaged sensor that can be wrecked, to get one each of these seemingly very rare connectors.

I'll givve you details when I get home in about 8 weeks.

They come up for sale and generally are very expensive....they are like new because nobody in the dealer used them.
The HONDA auto side also had a test harness that was made but never really used.
There are many ways to complete the needed tests on sensors with out spending the big $$$
The US dealer Turbo service kits have far more collector value than actual service value as all the include "special tools" can be purchased in the aftermarket or just a smart work around can be done.

Don,
Thanks for the reply. I'm a systems engineer and understand the challenge.  I hope you have a safe trip and I would welcome any info you can share on your return.  Sounds like a lot of fun!

Showkey,
So is there a part number or listing of what is included in the US dealer turbo service kits?

I actually made myself a set of jumper wires, which resemble the adapter. I even used green, white and pink wiring. Now I can easily separate the harness couplers for the sensors, install my jumper set and do the diagnosis. I agree that it is far easier with the adapter or jumpers. Was real difficult to backprobe without the jumpers. Took me all of about 15 minutes to make. They work real good. Nothing fancy, just three wires of equal length with flat spade connectors on one end, and female connectors on the other. I solder all of my connections (I don't trust crimp connectors only). Give it a try...........
