We have a radio station around here called 95.7 The Ride. It plays nothing but biker music. And it has very few commercials. One of the last independent radio stations around. I love to listen to it when I am working on my bike. And yeah, Steppenwolf rules.

I don't understand how this is a motorcycle song. No mention of motorcycles at all.
Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Lookin' for adventure
And whatever comes our way
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space
I like smoke and lightning
Heavy metal thunder
Racin' with the wind
And the feelin' that I'm under
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space
Like a true nature's child
We were born, born to be wild
We can climb so high
I never wanna die
Born to be wild
Born to be wild
Now this is a motorcycle song
1952 Vincent Black Lightning by Richard Thompson.

Please shoot me between the eyes before I know what hit me - as I just fell off a turnip truck with the biggest hangover since yesterday <LOL> !!!!
Aye, that's really grandma's cake baking song ...... er maybe you were born in a different century - but Steppenwold is all about bikin' ...... n' smokin' the green grass of home ...... just let your imagine run rapid ......
I haven't smoked any in years - but kinda remember - as smelt it yesterday at the Long Lake dam as I was having my first brew of the day ..... a sweet smell in the wind !!!!
n' now I'm having my first brew of today (albeit warm from sitting here all night) - n' remember I won a dance with a nice lady as I bet Detroit would win the game - so I pick up my winning next weekend <grin> ....
Oh boy - it's fun gettin' ol' n' tryin' to remember the good ol' days - when both knees worked, n' I didn't have to take 15 meds to keep my heart tickin' ....... anyway, I'll survive another day - and get back on working on my ol' bike tomorrow ...... with dreams of riding the wind before the next snow flies ......
Cheers, n' Buster please get me a cold beer outta the fridge !!!
Bryan

As recalling some of last night memories - where I danced with a 19 year ol' blonde and 21 year old hottie at the Legion Dart Banquet ...... n' came home with an extra $150. - so overall a very good night !!!!!

Another weekend n' guess what - Aye - biker music again - er at least my music is key to my drinkin' n' ridin' n' everything - so in looking through the thread - looks like just a few of us interested ? - albeit know we can do better = as I've found over the years - music is the key to life !!!!! So whether country hillbilly er hard rock - it's all biker music - as we don't have any limit's - leastwise, to my 45 plus years of bikin' ........ yet always found an interesting topic - as it's nice to know what others are listening to whilst workin' on or ridin' their bikes !!!!!!!
Hence: another night for me of Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kris Kristofferson n' now listening to Bob Marley - n' next will probably be Led Zeppelin n' a round with "Pink" ....... so as with all things - I've only had a dozen brews with a dozen awaiting me .......... along with "Much more Biker Music" n' many more hours of drinkin' n' workin' n finally ridin' again !!!!!
Cheers, n' Happy Trails Ahead,
Bryan

Yeah, seems like I'm on track with you. My mp3 is filled with the likes of Tool, Clutch, Slayer, and other loud, fast songs...just seems to go with riding. Don't get me wrong, there's still some remnants of days gone past....soundtrack to "Easy Rider", some old Floyd, Terry Reid, and DAC to name a few. Those always seem to come on at the right time, too....

You go on thinking that! I actually spun "Start Today" for the first time in years, about a week ago. Hahdcaw ain't my main thing these days but if you look long enough, you'll find pics of me on returntothepit.com too. Looking possessed.
