Going O-ring hunting.
Had a leaky petcock when I turned it from off so I thought it was time to change it out with the spare I had. It looked ok till I put it on the bike and filled the tank full of gas. Leaking like a sivve. Didn't notice that the o-ring on the spare was damaged or else I damaged it when I put it on. Either way it ripped and I had to drain the tank again to put the old one on.
The one good thing that came out of it was that I put the straw back on that had been floating around in my tank.
Now I have a reserve again.
Now I just need to run out and get some o rings because I am sure that the one that isn't broken yet is 29 years old and should be replace.
