07-21-2008, 9:35 AM Connella08 Joined on 06-01-2007 Mendon,MA Posts 212 cracked overflow stem i have an extra set of carbs im working on cleaning up to sell, but one of the bowls has a cracked over flow stem and its causing it to leak. the crack goes all the way up the stem from the bottom. can i just put a piece of shrink tubing over it to fix the crack? what are some other options to use?    Report

I already tried that and wasn't thinking. Gas makes the shrink tube expand so it will last for about 15 mins if you are lucky. It's a simple fix. Use sandpaper to clean up the tube and solder it back togeather. 1979 Honda Cx500 Custom    Report
