For those interested, Service Honda list the Yamaha 11H-12438-10-00 mechanical water pump seal, which also fits our Hondas,  for $10.17. I don't think it can get any cheaper than that.

Just got back from Honda, here's their pn & $ for my '82 GL500=

90201-415-000    Nut, Cap (impeller)(6mm)    $1.58

15415-413-000   Spring, Oil Filter               $2.49
15414-300-000   Seat (washer for above)   $2.82

I got mine from the Yamaha dealer for around 13.00. Did not think Honda would carry it.

Is service Honda the same as a dealer shop, or is it only an on-line deal?
