Trying to replace horn. Any good suggestions?

I can't find any way to hear what the horns sound like (when looking on JC Whitney). Does anyone have any good ideas how to hear what they sound like?

I don't think there is any way that you could hear what the horns sound like. The best you can do is read the reviews as to what people say and choose between high or low tone horn. Some of them the name says it all like Super Loud blast horn.
It's not a radio, it's a horn.

One question for you is what do you want from a horn? Do you want it loud or quiet?  With all the members on here I am sure someone can fill you in on different types of horns if you have a name in mind.

From memory, there is a screw and locknut on the back of the horn for adjusting the tone.

Then again, I'm on meds.

Correct. I replaced my missing horn w/ one off my parts bike. At first, the horn sounded weak but after adjusting the screw, it's now ear piercing.

You could get real classy and put on a tractor trailer air horn. I saw some in O'reilley's last nite, and I think I may have to do it.

Try "Hornblasters" if it'll fit. Sooo funny. Especially the cat. Ha Ha Ha Ha.

Consider one from a 1969 roadrunner. Originals are pricey, but reproductions are reasonable.

I put a Fiamm Freeway Blaster on my bike and am very pleased:

Be sure and get the relay too.
