Been thinking in that direction myself. Sometimes you really need two bikes. Guess it's time to start making a list of things to fix and do before you forget.

I think this is why many CX owners end up with at least two of them like myself.I started with the one and had to buy a spare engine as mine blew not long after getting it but the engine I got was in a complete bike that had been neglected.I left that bare in the garage for a year and then decided to bring it back to life hence,"Lazaraus".Ok I've spent a bit over the years but then of course I've also saved a bit on fuel costs and it's an enjoyable hobby.
My main bike has only really been off the road twice since I fixed it nearly four years ago.Once coz a stator went(Fixed in a day as I had a spare back case with one in) and presently as I have time I'm giving the engine a service/check/De-coke etc as the starter/flywheel was becoming lazy.
The 2nd bike made from spares and bits I use more or less as a test bed but in saying that it's actually now the better of the two bikes.
Having the two means I've always got one on the road no matter what and as the insurance is cheap for these bikes over here it's no great cost and with my work pattern and having two bikes I don't get to put as much mileage on them as I would like but I reckon they will last my lifetime out now :)
Yes sometimes I'd like a little more power but then there's those days when I'm cruising around my county when I think what the hell do I need more speed for especially when an engine I've built is purring for me
