I would buy these, but it would make the rest of my bike look bad

They should sell fast, that is a good deal

Wow those are nice. I'm with Harold. I ended up painting mine black. Once you start cleaning and polishing then you have to do everything.

My question was basically about turn around time. I need to put in fork seals so thought it would be a good time to send off for polishing, but it may be a better winter project.

I will do them the day they come in, and try to have them ready to ship by the next day! If you get them to me by Monday, you could have them back by Thursday or Friday. But that would mean you would have to ship today or tomorrow! Depends on how you ship them both ways! Let me know when they are coming!

Is that your usual turnaround or do you have a week off?

If someone wants it quick, I'll do it quick! No I don't have next week off. I got released by my Doctor to go back Monday. I get off at 2:30 pm, so I should have time to get them done by 10 or 11 pm. I have been staying up late anyway, and it won't be to much trouble to do it again!

WOW, they are nice. So what's the secret, magic wand or 3800 rpm buffer/polisher? Most forks I've seen are very oxidized, I am supprised they can be done that fast.

I am running out of elbow grease and need a new tool to get all my aluminium looking like chrome.

Check out the http://choppercharles.com/cs/forums/46509/ShowPost.aspx in this forum. It will out line it there. Bottom line, lots of sanding and equipment, AND a Magic Wand!

Ok, so now you have given me a good reason to by the high speed air tools I have been wanting and a bench grinder/buffer.  I have some polishing compounds, white and rouge, but need to get the black.  I need to read your thread in detail to see where you get your supplies from.

Your bike looks awsome.  Thanks.

Remember what I said though, the slower the polishing motor, the better. A fast grinder, 3500, will work, but 1750 and down with at least 3/4 HP is best.

LR I said I had to go back and read the full write up. I do every thing slow, that's why I don't ride a crotch rocket. veriable speed tools that can be dialed in are what I would look for. Cost a little more but I justifiy it by only buying one tool vs. two or three.
