Honda dealer wants $60 for a new headlight. Does anyone have an after market name & part number. Mine is a Stanley and there is a number DH 28C on the back.

Thanks
Allen

I just picked one up at a honda dealer in Pa. for an 80 custom for $40.00 + tax. I thought that was steep. Don in Pa

I put a Sylvania H 6024 in mine. Got it at Walmart for 10 bucks. It seems to work okay, though I have not ridden much at night yet as I am still trying to get the carbs runnig right on my bike.

Can't do a search but I think someone got one real cheap from an Autozone type shop.I'd be tempted to take the headlight in to one or more and see if they have something.I think they are a stock item and not specific to Honda bikes like the Rad caps and thermostats.Honda sourced a lot of ready made things for these bikes.

HTH :)

I need a headlight for my '81 Custom, too.   Not the bulb - the reflector and lens - the silvering is coming off the reflector.  Surely this thing is generic?

Yes it is, J.C. Whitney is where I got mine, it was less then 20 bucks (get 7 inch round) works great, much better then stock. You then can pick up H4 bulbs anywhere for replacement.
