Fan torque spec

I do have a shop manual, but I haven't seen the fan torque spec anywhere. The fan has cracked and has a wobble, so I have one on order and i don't want to reinstall it wrong.

Haynes manual says cooling fan bolt torque spec. 14.5-18.0 ft lbs.

I asked a similar question last week and got the same answer. Keep it low doing 14-15. Don't go nuts because the metal is crap and can crack causing you to have to replace the fan. Save $40 and go light.

There was also a suggestion that if the M14X1.5 bolt about 2 inches long doesn't work use some wooden wedged to slowly pry it off.

The 14mm 1.5 bolt worked fine I was just in need for the torque info thanks guys

I did mine tonight and used the bolt. You wouldn't believe it. One of the blades fans looked like it had been half eaten by a dog. It also cut my oil light wire. So now that's fixed.
