07-24-2008, 11:31 PM Willj Joined on 03-24-2008 Posts 57 tach question My tach started making this buzzing sound after about 2 hours at 60mph. the buzz is also noticeable when I hold it. the needle also waivers. I releived the buzz and needle waivering by loosening the cable lock nut but it seems to come back when I turn the steering.It comes back to a lesser degree. then I loosen the locknut and fine again Now,,,I have a new cable that I have yet to put on. maybe it will fix the problem entirely. could the tach itself be the problem? do they go faulty? Has anyone else experienced this buzz? thanks    Report

I turned it hard once and it started buzzing. Loosen the nut and will go away but comes back again. Wondering if it is my tach or my cable. Like evereything I guess Tachs have a lifespan. You should get yourself a replacement . one off fleabay. Willj
