Does anyone know how well this is attended? And is there a website I can go to get more details on this?

This is where you find out about the rally. There are people that come and go during the course of Thursday through Monday morning. Last year I think we had close to 30 people show and about the same the year before.

This is not a big fancy rally with badges, pins and cups, but rather a gathering of people dedicated to the GL/CX machine we own, ride and love. In some cases it is the people who have owned them in the past. In any case it is a smaller group of people who take their bikes and riding pretty seriously.

This is not a drinking group, but alcohol is not forbidden. Last year I think the group put away a 12 pack ... which would discourage most Harley riders from attending. We ride, we talk, we eat, and we drink some of the best water you will find. The water at the farm is pretty unbelievable.

Everyone gets a double bed so far ... the group hasn't run out of beds yet ... and it is only $6 per night per person. In the past everyone has chipped together to pay for breakfast at the lodge, but I would guess if the group gets much bigger we might have to go out for breakfast. It is hard to cook that much crispy bacon. (That is an inside joke.) I have never heard anyone complain about anything except Phil getting up too early. (Another inside joke.)

There is a lot, and I mean a lot, of laughter, story telling, eating, riding and I think it is in about that order too. If you come and don't have fun, it is because you are introverted. There are usually rides in two or three different directions. If you don't have a lot of riding experience let us know and the group will allow for it.

Come for a day, stay for the weekend ... I think you will convince yourself of that after one day. I look forward to my 1700 mile round trip each year. I know, no matter how far you come, you will enjoy yourself.

Why don't you come a day or two early and stay at this place? You and Chris would like this spot. Nice little log cabin to yourself with a hot tub inside? It's about 14 miles from where I work, 25 from my home.

Actually, you can camp in the Little Pine State Park campground. It's set up for everything from motorhomes to tents. And it is close to the restaurant.
Go here: http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateParks/parks/littlepine.aspx
and you might want to make a reservation. If there is anything I can do to help, let me know. I'll also spare some time to ride with you and/or you can come to my shop and work on the bike a bit if you feel the need. PM me for more contact info.

There probably is an address, but I don't know of anyone here who would know it, with the possible exception of Phil or maybe Tony. There are instructions how to get there, however,  in a prior thread in this forum entitled '2008 HTTA Amish Rally Aug.14 - 17'. The URL is:.

From North and Northeast

From the northeastern and northern parts of Pa, exit I-80 using exit 210 to Rte 15 southbound to West Milton, Pa., and exit onto Rte 642 west. At the end of the ramp go left. Go about 4 miles through Kelly Crossroads (a rural road crossover and a few houses) and turn right about 1/4 to 1/2 mile later onto Sunrise road, which a couple of miles later merges by the reservoir to become Spruce Run road. Take Sunrise/Spruce Run Rd for approximately 3.6 - 3.8 miles miles after the turn off of Rte 642, passing Sunrise Methodist church and Buffalo Valley MC clubhouse enroute to the rally site, which is on the right. Slow down so as to be able to see the white 2 story building, which is about 100 feet off of the road in a wooded area.

From the southeast and straight south

The directions would be the same as previous directions after exiting Rte 15 northbound and then turning left onto Rte 642 west.

From the southwest

Find your way to Mifflinburg, Pa. and Rte 45. On the east end of town on Rte 45 is a Sheetz convenience store. Go about 4 miles to a left turn on Johnson Mill Road. This is about 1/4 mile past Dreisback Church road to the right. Go about 3 miles north through Buffalo Crossroads (a group of about 10-15 houses) and through the small town of Mazeppa to a "T" stop sign with a church on the right. Turn right, cross the bridge and turn left. Go about 1/2 mile and the road will turn sharply right. In another 1.5+ miles you'll pass a road to the left with a sign for Kuhns Brothers Log homes. Keep going another 1/4 mile to a sharp right turn. Follow the corner, cross a bridge and turn left onto Spruce run Road. Go 1.5 miles to a 'T'. Turn left and go about 2 miles to the rally site. There are other choices during these last few miles and turns, but this will get you there with the fewest side road decisions.

From West and Northwest

From I-80 West and northwest, take exit 186 at Loganton and turn right at the end of the ramp. There are no all night fuel stops at this exit, so you're best to fuel up at the Lamar, Rte 64 exit# 171 or 172. At that Loganton exit ramp go right, south on Rte 477, 7.2 miles through Loganton and up over the mountain to Rte 192. This is a winding road and caution should be used at night. Turn Left (east) on Rte 192 and go 14 miles to a small gas station on the left and a few houses called Forest Hill. There is a 'T' road to the right but stay straight 3/10 of a mile to the second road to the left. It should be labeled as Col John Kelly Road. Turn left and go 3.5 miles to the small village of Mazeppa (church and cemetery on the right) and a small bridge. Turn left immediately after the bridge onto Spruce Run Road. In about 1/2 mile and the road will turn sharply right. Follow the right turn. In another 1.5+ miles you'll pass a road to the left with a sign for Kuhns Brothers Log homes. Keep going another 1/4 mile to another sharp right turn. Follow the corner, cross a bridge and turn left onto Spruce Run road (again) Go 1.5 miles to a 'T'. Turn left and go about 2 miles to the rally site. There are other choices during these last few miles and turns, but this will get you there with the fewest side road decisions.

Latitude/ Longitude is almost exactly 77 degrees West and about 41.01.9 degrees/minutes/seconds North.

Instructions thanks to TonyG (a few years ago)
